If you are considering a special winter section in your publication with the “10 best things to do this winter” concept, let me put in a plug for Aspen Film’s Academy Screenings.
Every year, Aspen Film adds celluloid excitement to Aspen’s winter holidays with a slate of the year’s hottest films headlined by top directors and stars. Open to everyone, this two-week extravaganza offers a sneak peek at some of the films everyone will be talking about come the Academy Awards©. 2008’s films included: The Secret Life of Bees, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Milk, Revolutionary Road, Gran Torino, Frost/Nixon, Doubt, and The Wrestler just to name a few.
The 19th Annual Aspen Academy screenings will be held December 20, 2009, to January 2, 2010, at Harris Concert Hall.
Program and ticketing information will be posted on-line in early December at www.aspenfilm.org
Tickets will go on sale December 14
